I'm assuming that you are getting a refund? If so you can go on-line onto the irs website, www.irs.gov and clink onto the link for "where's my refund". You may be able to get information on what the status of your refund is. What you would need would be the taxpayer's social security number, the filing status, and the amount of the refund. I have attached a link for you to it. You could also call up your accountant's office and see if they have any information.

Are you in the US? If so, when you file late it has to go in by mail, not electronically, so it takes 6-8 weeks to get your refund. Normally the refund would be sent directly to you, but if you are having your preparation fees to the tax preparer taken out of your refund, then that would probably take an extra few days.

Why not call them and ask them how long it's liable to take?
