Slow Java!?

On my Mac the Java is now running really Slow and if I close the window the Application Freezes. Everything that runs Java is either slow or doesn't work. Could you help me out.

Hard to give an accurate answer when the version of the Mac OS is unknown. Java is a resource (especially memory) hog. Maybe you need more memory or download a resource friendly version of the JRE.
