just be patient, and try to look more toward cassiopeia (looks like the W)... you will see some in that area if the weather permits. GOOD LUCK!!!

They're still going on right now... I just saw a few a little while ago, even with some clouds in the sky here in Eastern Washington, and I've been watching them all weekend.
You should be staring at the constelation Perseus in the Northeast, just below Cassiopeia, which is shaped a bit like the letter "W."
The term meteor "shower" misleads some people, because they picture something like a rain shower, I believe. It's not like that. You'll see one or two a minute under good viewing conditions.
Don't give up. The show peaks tonight, but it has been going on every night since last month, and will be going on for a while longer. You'll have better luck an hour or so before sunrise, and the further you can get from city lights, the better.
Good Luck!

Saw some, but not nearly as many as I was hoping for. Maybe it was just the hazy sky where I am, but I didn't see anything like the peak of 1-2 meteors a minute I heard predicted. I'm kinda bummed.

I saw about 6 in 25 minutes. I live in southern AZ. No doubt I'd see more if I drove out into the desert a little ways. I live near a small city which puts out a little light, but I can still see more stars here than any other place I ever lived.

I saw 3. But, I didn't see any more for about 10 minutes, and gave up.
