I would, but only if it was a female babysitter because that is a woman's job but no man should be bothered with that plus it would be weird for a guy to give kids a bath anyway.

I doubt I would ever ask a babysitter to give a child a bath unless it was unusual circumstances. For example, if the babysitter involved a child in an activity that got them really messy, I would hope the child would get a bath. Otherwise, I would take care of that before the babysitter showed up.

When my sisters and I were like, 14,13, and 12 we were the Premier Babysitters in the neighborhood.

I did it all. I fed 'em, bathed 'em, put clean diapers on and jammies and read them a bedtime story. So did my sisters.

If you needed a sitter, you dialed our phone number. People were sooo appreciative. We had to actually turn folks down. It was Good Money.

As we got older, and people kept calling, my brothers had to take over the business. So, at 14 and 15 years old they were babysitting regularly. Yeah, they got jobs at 16 but they had money in their pockets before that.

And it wasn't because they took the job and did it half @ssed. People expected the quality care their kids got.

Note: My brother's wife had a mental breakdown when his daughter was 18 months old and he has raised her ever since with no trauma to himself or her (other than her Mom's a nut.) She's 21. He's 44.....and they are both fine.

seriously? and why is that? I find it weird you think females have special gift that makes them better!
But to get at the real issue, babysitters have no reason to bath someones else s kids-

It really depends on the person asked to babysit. Some guys are great babysitters by the way and the job of taking care of children is NOT gender specific.

I think I would prefer to give the children baths, myself, before or after the sitter was there. I would feel safer, either way. The only way I would really feel safe, would be if the sitter was my mother or sister or someone I really felt comfortable with my children.

the kids would have been bathed already

they wouldn't be watching my kids if i didn't completely,200%, trust them, so for some spill or unseen accident and a bath was needed, it would be fine.
all my sitters i have for kids have benn family, except one and she was a LONG time best friend
