Is it "normal"? Would a person having sex at an age where they wouldn't know whether or not it was considered "normal" be normal? Probably not.
Losing your virginity at *any* age is a big deal.
I had a friend who got pregnant in the 8th grade by a 23 year old man. She had her son when she was 13 years old! Her "boy" is now 9 years older than *my* daughter, whom I waited to have!
(sigh)
Where are your mentors, parents, legal guardians, older siblings, good friends, high school counselor, pastor, doctor, etc.?
Sit down and have a serious discussion with someone who knows you well and whom you trust. Sex isn't just an "act" of having something or doing "it". It's something that needs to be addressed by any of the above so you know what you're getting into.
Oh yeah, it feels "right", with the "right" person. But the right person *now* may not be the right person *later*. And trust me, there are plenty of older adults who have found that out too late in life.
That and many other issues hafta be addressed before you're ready to dive into something you may not be ready for...
Sex makes babies, breaks up relationships if you do it *outside* of a relationship, it helps in spreading diseases, it could make or break a friendship, etc.
Oh, and one more thing. No using people. When you slip between the sheets with someone, make sure it's a person you can respect later. God knows, if a child comes out of your union, you'll be "stuck" with one another as long as that child is alive.
Good luck. And I hope everything works out for the best...

No. Every young man/lady should wait till they get married to loose something so precious. What's the rush? Most men and women regret not waiting for the right person. Kids in high school don't really know what they are getting themselves into when it comes to being sexually active. Don't ever feel pressure from a guy/gal to loose your virginity. Things will never be the same if you do. Good luck sweetie!!

I feel very awkward even mentioning it but I lost my virginity when I was only 11 years old. I met a girl whom I thought loved me and only a few weeks after we slept with each other, she left me for some unknown reason. Since then, I have had over 10 sex partners and I am only 14 years old. I live in San Diego and a lot of my friends lost theirs when they were around 12 or 13. So where I live, it is considered LATE to lose it in high school. Hope that helped you some :)

I don't know if it is normal or not, and my opinion is that we should wait until at least 18 before engaging in sex. However, based on the information I receive from my children and my own observations it seems to me the great majority of high school students do engage in sex at some point during this time. Depending on how you define normal, it seems this is normal anymore.

What is normal will always be hard to define, but here are some statistics,
* 57% lost virginity in high school
* 79% lost virginity by the end of college
* 16.9 average age for sex
* 33% of high school students had sex once a month to once a week
* 52% of college students had sex once a month to once a week.
just wondering... is it now normal to be imoral?

It is incredibly normal. Studies show that 62% of high school students will lose their virginities within their school career.
But sexual debut does not affect much else about the sex life of the teenager. It is important to be safe, of course.

It is very normal, I must be honest and tell you that I waited. However, If you are going to loose your virginity the safest way to do so is with a virgin fully protected.

hello ..., no, it's not normal. only for the promiscuous and you don't want to be known that way. and with all the STD's you don't know who you can trust. condom's do not protect you from everything, never rely on just that. i suggest you wait, be proud of being a virgin. you won't be sorry that you waited. don't let curiosity run away with you. stay strong. i hope this helped! :)

No its not normal....take your time with such matters.
Its better to wait than to get stuck with a kid who looks like your sibling.....or even worse with a sexually transmitted disease that leaves you on your death bed.
No one I know has ever regretted not going to bed earlier with some guy.
Have you heard someone middle aged say "Damn, I know I should have slept with that guy from high school" ???
