I just got kicked out of University after my first year (grades weren't good enough) and now my mom and I are not exactly on good terms...what can I do to smooth things over..she's acting like this whole situation is affecting her more than it's affecting me...I'm the one who got kicked out not her...I'm just so fed up with the situation..what should I do...

Believe me when I say your mom just wants best for you.
She is just disappointed that you got kicked out of school.
The best way to make amends with your mom is time and communication. Talk, Talk, Talk..

Tell her what your plans are now, whether it being finding another school, a job, etc.
Tell her how upset you are and you feel like you let yourself down and her (your mom).

Dont be to hard on yourself, or your mom.
You both need each other.
This will pass....
