You're old enough to go to the doctor on your own. It's all confidential. Don't be mad at your mom; she's doing her best. And don't forget about STDs!! Use a condom, unless you really trust your man, and you've both been tested. Or if you're both each other's first. Be careful. Just think if you cheated once and ended up with HIV. It would ruin your life. And you have big plans for your future. So be smart. :)

I don't think you have to have parental permission to receive birth control at Planned Parenthood. Check your county health dept. and see if they can help.
Make sure he uses a condom anyway. Two kinds is better than one, and bcp won't keep STDs away.
I am so proud of you for having dreams and refusing to let your dreams be compromised because of lack of planning. You're not letting anything get in your way, and that's so smart. I hope you reach your goals, and when the time is right, you can have a baby later.

if she knows you have had sex before than she may not mind but if your worried she might think your having sex now than opt for the irregular period reason. tell her your periods are irregular and they hurt or are heavy or something like that and a girl at school told you birthcontrol can fix it. i think its really decent of you to care about getting pregnant at all. a lot of girls care but dont try to do anything about it. by the way-thats what i told my mom and she didnt believe me but i didnt back down i kept telling her the same thing and i guess she thought it must be true after a while. if she knew i was having sex then she would have kicked me out of the house.

Just tell her that you want birth control so, you can have it just in case. Or for when you're older and want to be already on it. Plus, she would much rather you being on birth control than pregnant so, just go and ask. Also, you can go to the doctor or planned parenthood and get it yourself.

Just tell her. who cares how you word it. Believe me, it will be a lot easier to talk to her about birth control than it would be to tell her that you are pregnant!
do it soon!!
Good luck
