As dangerous as it is to both yourself and all drivers on the road and inspired by the overall feeling of superiority and agility, I must say.... YES! YES! YES! & YES! I know it's wrong and the fact that after all these years on the road I've never caused or been in an accident while driving. (reaching over to knock on wood) I would need a 12 step program to stop this potentially fatal and addictive behavior. You don't even want to know what else I've done or attempted while behind the wheel (5 speed), but thats another question. Anyway, as long as they have drive thru's people will be eating on the go.
When I was younger, first started to drive, I would put the food in the trunk to make sure I couldn't eat on the way home. But I got so tired of pulling over and popping the trunk, I said WTF, just buy alittle extra so there is some left when I get home. Lol

all the time. The near-misses I cause. Once I was trying to grab a gummi bear out of the bag - it was stuck among the creases. Took my eyes off the road for two seconds and when I look back, the car was half on the path and heading towards a lamp pole. Thank god I was only doing about 20, otherwise, I would not be here typing this post, seriously.

Sometimes? Hey, I'm in CA - I have to eat when I drive - it takes 6 hours to drive 10 miles here!

Guilty, not often though. I find I eat while I drive when I'm running late, or having to make an out of town trip by myself. Even then it's usually a donut, chips, or fries.

Tough to do while shifting gears. On the open road, with little traffic, at times. Coffee's a must in the morning. Just snacks, though.
Living in Los Angeles, I've seen drivers doing some strange things on the freeways. I followed a woman one evening at 85 mph, who was talking on her cell while eating a bowl of noodles WITH Chopsticks. I kid you not.

Only if I haven't had a chance to eat for a day or more and might otherwise faint from hunger while I'm on the road.

I position the food perfectly on my lap, so I can drive, and eat at the same time.

I've determined that if you have to eat while you're driving...have a McDonald's cheeseburger. It's perfect because everything is sealed together by the cheese...no spillage
