I would like to think so. The one that we had did work. In fact it worked too well, we were always filling it up. lol

This is an odd question. If the gauge is working properly, then yes. However, there may be something wrong with yours. Take it into a hardware store and ask them to test the pressure on the tank with a gauge that is new. If it reads differently....well....yours isn't working properly.

They can, but it is not a good way to tell how much propane is left. Sometimes you can tell by feeling a temperature difference at the liquid level. This works if the tank is set in sunlight for a short time.
