I am Republican and watched the speeches on C-Span for the Straw Poll.
I would have to say if I was there I would have voted for Tom Tancredo or Ron Paul.
(I would probably vote for Tancredo in the end. I disagree with Paul on the Death Penalty...he opposes it).
I have not yet decided who I am supporting in the primaries but I will say that if either of these two men can come out of Iowa or NH with sizable support (say third place or better) I will support that candidate by giving them my vote in Texas when it is our turn (and possibly some financial contributions as well).

I'm not a member of any party but if I voted today I would vote for Duncan Hunter. He doesn't have a chance though so I will probably end up voting for whoever the Republican nominee is. In that case I would be voting against the illiberals, not for the Republicans.
I liked Tom Tancredo but his stupid comments about nuking Mecca are making me reconsider.

There are no acceptable candidates being presented by either the republicans or democrats.
We'd be better off with Pee Wee Herman with Michael Jackson as VP, than the ones who will end up on the ballot...
At least we know what they'll do while in office (and if they are busy with that... they won't do too much damage to the rest of the country)

I have not decided yet. I am a Republican, but nobody really impresses me. I have no problem voting for a Democrat for President in the general election, but their candidates don't impress me either.

i dont go by the party thing. i am a democrat. but i like who i like. i dont go by that. i go by what the person believes is important issues, and i have the same veiws. i am actually torn between two different ppl that are running. one a d and the other a rep. i like ron paul, and i like john edwards.
to me, the most important quality in candidate, is if they are straight up. will they sugar coat things so we dont worry? i dont like that ****. i think we deserve to know whats going on you know? and i think both ron paul and edwards are real, and will think about us first.
what do you look for in your candidates? do you go by political party? or the person?

If I had to pull the lever right now, I'd vote for Romney. I'm still open to being persauded otherwise, but that's where I'm leaning.
