I like that name, and today people are naming their kids with unique names. If I have another boy his name is going to be London, and if I have a girl, Brooklyn, (I have a geographical thing apparently) I don't think their going to get made fun of or have a hard time in school. And, I don't think your child will either if this is the name you choose. Common names just suck these days...Matthew and Thomas are a little played out already.

I don't care that much for it. It does sound pretty, which might not be what you're going for with a boy, but the word "avian" means "deriving from or having to do with birds." With Avian Flu being such a big topic in the news, I would want to go back to the drawing board on the first name.

I love love love it. I also disagree with the one who said he would have to spell it everyday. But so what if he does... My name is NaKole pronounced Nicole but still people always asked me if it was spell Nichole. So I think no matter how you spell your kids name or what you name your child people are always gonna ask to make sure.

Avien isn't incredibly masculine like Michael or John. But its a lovely name. And I think a man makes his own masculinity. Its personality more than anything. Avien has some mystery to it. I like it.

You must not live in the United States. Because I don't think anyone has heard any name like that.
How about Americanizing it- if you are living here.

Aiden Joseph

I really like it. Ignore the people who disagree. And he won't have to spell it everyday of his life, because it sounds almost like it is spelled. And if he does have to who cares, believe it or not I have to constantly tell people how to spell my name, and it's no big deal. Name your boy Avien or whatever you want to.
