Very much so. I hate being burned more than once. I am sometimes willing to give the benefit of the doubt to a new situation, but if I do it too many times and get burned each time, then forget it! I totally rely on the past to guide the future at that point!

I feel I was raised just fine,.And things I have gone through which were troublesome,I weigh my options and go from there,.My grandmother always told me (use your simple common sense),.Ive learned over the past 35 years since she told me that I`m able to solve problems much easier that way, I`ve been talked about in the past because I did`nt jump in a violent situation head first, instead I wanted to know exactly what the deal was before I acted, I do this because I absolutely hate confusion, trial and error lead me to be this way I feel I have done well,. and I try to teach my children the same way I was,so I can be proud of them like my mother was proud of me,,,,,

Every moment of our lives forms a memory that we can call upon for experience in every decision, move etc we make.
I don't think it would be possible to avoid using past experiences.
If we didn't use our past experiences we would never learn or develop from infancy

My past experiences inform my current decisions 100%. It's not that I try to stay in the past and don't try new things; rather, I try new things and apply my old experiences to them to see what will fit with my own personality.

past experiences are a huge part in the decisions you make, whether you know it or not, those experiences have gotten you to where you are, and along the way you've experienced or learned many things resulting from your choices, be it for the good or for the bad, that's why they always say to learn from you experiences, learn from your mistakes...this is true in your personal life as well as your professional life.

Some were mistakes learned well from, others were/are wonderful experiences encountered. Therefore what has left an impact on my life, great or not so, I've learned well from it and to use better judgment for future reference or put into play what I know from experience.

Experiences are lessons. The purpose is to learn and progress. Therefore, I rely on them - up to a point. I must also be open to new experiences with its opportunities for different views. We must not stagnate!
