Meg & Dia are amazing. A lot of their music is inspired by books, which I really admire. They really promote reading and education (they have this book exchange thing at shows where you can bring in a book and trade it for a different one).

They've come a long way in 3 years, starting from recording all their own music acoustically, to what the success they have now. Dia has a really unique voice, and the subjects of their songs are really special too. They write about more than just love, because to be honest, anyone can pop out a love song. Every lyric is really well thought out, and all it works together so that the music can be open to interpretation to each person, which makes the song so much more personal.

They're also involved with To Write Love On Her Arms, which
basically spreads awareness and support for people dealing with cutting and self-injury.

If you haven't listened to Meg & Dia, you need to. They're absolutely fantastic. You HAVE to listen to "Roses," "Cardigan Weather," "Tell Mary," and "Monster."

Pink Floyd
David Gilmour plays an amazing guitar. I love the emotional solos. (my eyes got watery when he played the Comfortably Numb solo at Live 8).
Great Voice, he's still got it too.

Roger Waters - One of the greatest lyricists of all time, shame he left.

Nick Mason - Great drummer. The only constant member of the group. I bet he tried to keep them all together as long as he could

Rick Wright - An underrated keyboardist, and I really think his distinctive playing made the Pink Floyd sound what it is today.

hinder. they are my boys! i was out of music for almost 10 years when i heard them this time last year on the radio. just heard bits and pieces cause i live out in nowhere on the edge of the radio station. looked them up online, got that song, waited 2 weeks, listened to the rest of the cd and got hooked! everything just fit so perfectly for me, the lyrics and all. then i made friends on the forum, went to a show and i keep going back for more! i got to meet them and they are the nicest guys in the world! they really do love their fans and love meeting them. they put on a great show and i can't wait to see them on the 25th

currently i like:

escape the fate, the singer can sing and scream REALLY WELL which is quite unusual seeing as most bands that sing and scream these days cant do one or the other...or neither.

children of bodom:
this guys are amazing. the drummer is....inhumanly amazing. its like he has 8 arms and 4 legs to drum with. the guitar is amazing, and catchy.

the used:
they have cool lyrics and the singer can sing really well.
and their music videos rule.

the lyrics are kinda bizzare
the guitar riffs are awesomely crazy
the keyboards haunt you
the drums are baboom?
the bass riffs are groovy
the lead singer is a small man shredding his guitar, wearing a labcoat, singing at the top of his lungs in the highest voice possible
