BINGO.
I like it when morons complain about what the goverment does or does not do and then continue to reelect the same clowns. My Member of Congress (D) has never done a thing (30 years) except fight with another idiot (R) from Bakersfield CA. He has 20 minute public meetings. That must get a lot accomplished. He has the (D) and here that is all that is required.
At the state level they vote for all the bond issues and then complain about how much the state owes. It's too much brilliance for me to comprehend!

People in general will blame who ever they can for no real reason, just because a rep or dem said something they didn't like.
As for us electing them, yes we do, but after that we really have no control on the decisions made by Congress, the President, etc. We can only hope that who we elect can be trusted to do the best job possible, apparently that isn't the case for some of them.
Placing blame doesn't resolve anything, so I choose not to do it.

It's like when you were a kid and hated or blamed your mother or father for something. It was a two parent household. Mom didn't do anything that dad didn't let her do and dad never did anything that mom didn't let him do.
