I must say that 1990-2000 had the best horror/weird shows on the air of all time. I remember looking foward to actually being scared watching these programs.

It all started with my grandmother whenever she used to babysit me she had to watch Unsolved Mysteries; i was 6.

Then I remember on Saturday nights around '97-early 2000s that 2 episodes of Tales From The Crypt aired on Fox right after MadTV. I was alone in my room laughing my *** off at MadTV to hiding under the covers during Tales From The Crypt; I loved it.

I also loved those late night weird shows. I remember Strange Universe; the bizarre news show reporting all oddities. I also watched Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction. I also remember Ghost Stories with Rip Torn that also scared the hell out of me.

Another one of my favorites was Brimstone; the short-lived series about the deceased cop hunting down escaped demons from hell.

Public television was much, much more creative 10-15 years ago.

I know what you mean. I miss those shows too. Tales from the Crypt was my favorite scary show. I remember the Nightmare on Elm Street Series, too. Everything was much more creative back then. Televison started going down hill with the creation of the reality show and now they have game shows on at night. Game shows are for little old ladies who sit at home in the day time; They are not meant to air at night. Not only are tv shows crappy nowadays but so are feature films. The supposedly scary ones are not scary at all just gory. I wish I could create my own television channel so I could show all of the good shows and movies of the past

You haven't seen anything. Rod Serling had the mind for horror. Night Gallery had some of the creepiest stuff. I must say, I never thought I'd ever see another Brimstone fan. It waasss good.

Yeah! I was so mad when they took Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction off! It was one of my favorite shows! Sometimes they still show programs about urban legends on the Discovery channel and TLC, as well as shows about haunted places on the Travel channel. TV was a lot better back then. Now you have 500 channels of junk TV shows.
