I watched some of his debates, read a few articles he wrote, listened to him talk a bit...

And I walked away wondering...

Why aren't there more republicans like him out there???

If this guy, through some miracle, gets the republican nomination, I'm voting republican.

It's guys like him that make me realize, it's not the parties that are the problem.. it's the politicians.

This guy seems to be on the ball, though I don't like any politician if voting actually mattered i'd vote for him. On alot of his debates he focuses on less government power and more power in the state system. Sticking with the constitution which is now an over amended napkin to most politicians and making sure the common persons rights are kept. Sounds good compared to most of his opponents. It's rare to see someone like this running with a straight mind and this is the reason so many people are bashing him. Whoever wins election has a long, hard road ahead of them to clean up george's failure.

Ron Paul has got some issues, though.

Radio ads in Iowa claim that he will issue "letters of marque and reprisal" to hire people to hunt down terrorists. Letters of marque and reprisal are listed in the Constitution as powers granted to Congress under Article I. Nowever, an international treaty in 1851, banned the hiring of privateers under operating under letters of marque and reprisal (pirates sanctioned by a government).

You're exactly right. The problem being there is so much corruptness going on and so much at stake with elite industries they may go to any lengths to keep someone so correct out of the scene. I will hang on to hope that influential people get wind of him and see he's for their good too considering what the alternative is.

Ron Paul is awesome. Show your support, tell others we control this government not the money or the media.

I agree with you. It is too bad to Ron Paul will never make it to run. He is too honest and blunt to be a president.
