i would get a hoover steam vac. they are wonderful and you can do drapes, couches chairs and caprets not to mention cars too. You can use the cheaper wal mart brand cleaner. THey work great!!!! Check Sam's wholesale club too. they are less then 300.00 or order one off line at walmart.com

You might check with vacuum cleaner repair shops. They may have some that they have taken in, in trade.
