In Test as batsman - Sachin
In ODIs as batsman – Both are very good. But Jayasuriya more aggressive than Sachin and he can change the game very quickly.
As All-Rounder – Sanath
As Fileder - Sanath
As team man - Sanath

While Sachin is the best as far as records areconcerned, when it comes to match winning perfocmance, Sanath Jayasuriya is the best as he has won many matches for Sri Lanka as compared to the matches won by Sachin Tendulkar for India.

no, Sachin is better bc, he leads in points.
Don't get me wrong Sanath is the best batsman ICC ever known.
However, Sachin leads in runs so therfore, Sachin is better & is only 34-33.
&
can play another world cup at South Asia.

Both are equally brilliant
You can't compare them
Jayasuriya is an opener who is also a bowler
He is more than just a part time bowler
His bowling is better in ODIs than Tests
Sachin is a middle order batter in Tests
and an opener in ODIs
He is a part time bowler
His bowling is better in ODIs than Tests
Sachin has more Test & ODI runs than Sanath
and also better averages in both forms
Sanath has scored 300 plus in Tests,Sachin hasn't
Sanath has much more wickets in ODIs than Sachin
also in Tests
So, the argument goes on..............

Sanath Teran jayasuriya's contribution rate of his big innings to his country's victory....is ...Extremely Higher than sachin.
a player or a Hero for the country.
it should not be for his personal achievements.
the world's rich man is not for his country...he is only a rich man.
but sanath is for his country
sachin is for his records... i agree its something to celebrate,...for his devotees who think he is a god?
