i am 47, my youngest is 26 years old.

I take prenatal vitamins to this day. They have more vitamins and minerals, and are more likely to dissolve.

The doctor is the one who recommended this to me.

My hubby takes them also. They are an over all, all around good vitamin pill.

My friend told me her doctor told her to keep taking her prenatal vitamins for a year after the baby is born because it helps with getting your body back to normal after giving birth. so you should keep taking it.. or just talk to your doctor about it.

take the vitamins as long as you are breastfeeding (or atleast 6 months if you stop breastfeeding). If you are planning to try for another baby then keep taking them because the vitamins build up in your system for the next pregnancy.

I'd keep taking them, afterall, they are vitamines.

and I agree with the person above who said they are great for the skin, hair and nail. I'm not pregnant, but I was actually thinking of taking them again, my nails were GORGEOUS when I was pregnant and taking those vitamines lol

I keep taking them while I'm breastfeeding. I take them while trying to get pregnant, while pregnant, and while breastfeeding. If you notice on the side of the bottle, it usually says something like "for pregnant and lactating women."

If cost is a concern, I switched to a generic store brand and I actually like them better! They're cheaper, they have the SAME ingredients, and the pill itself was smaller and easier to swallow.

Good luck and congrats on your baby

Take them as long as you can. My daughter is 11 months and I still take them (when I remember to). They are great for your hair, skin and nails. If your insurance will cover it and your doctor will give you a refill then it won't do any harm. Mine actually boost my stamina and my mood is better when I take them.
