It's called laziness and/or lack of phonics in school. Why do kids say AKS instead of "ask", or WHY N CHOO instead of "why don't you", or MUDDER/FADDER instead of "mother/father", IDJITS instead of "idiots?? I could go on forever.

Why do SOME people say "realator" for realtor?...they grew up hearing the word said that way and they repeat it, like having an accent.
Had a friend who said "flustrated" all the time which bothered me because I thought he meant "frustrated" and should say it right.
Then I looked in an unabridged dictionary and there it was: "flustrated, feeling frustation about a person or event"...geewhiz.

Same reason some children sit on the shares to tie their choose while washing the TV while their mom warshes her hair.

It's a common verbal error. It's almost like people writing and saying "should of"/"could of" instead of should've/should have or could've/could have. That's a true pet peeve of mine.

For the same reason that people say "preventative" (for "preventive") or "orientate" (for "orient") or "noo-cue-ler" (for "nuclear") or "origination" (for "origin") or "supposably" (for "supposedly"). Ignorance.
