Certainly not the first time. Supreme court stopped the counting of votes and an estimate got picked as result. The estimate however, created by some guys around Jeb Brother-Bush was suspec at best. Interesting to know that some (I believe 3) of the judges were actually appointed by Daddy-Bush. That whole deal smells like a trash can. Very disappointing that it never got officially investigated by an independent commission.

I'm a Democrat, but all this crap is just dividing the country! He won the first time - heck you could watch democrats on TV trying to give Gore votes when there weren't any marks on the ballet at all! Then the second time - Kerry was a huge disaster, so the Democrats gave not contest!

Better think about this.
If Bush wasn't elected, then he's eligible to run again next year, and serve two more years of the term.
But seriously, in the second election he was running against John Kerry. I don't find it hard to believe that more people would prefer four more years of Bush than a world-class Dufus.

If anything Bush was at a disadvantage in Florida since the media called the state for Gore while the polls were STILL OPEN in the conservative part of the state.
There were lots of conservatives who stayed home that night in the panhandle since the Presidential question was the only close race on the ballot.

There were 4 major newspapers that went to Florida after the election and did manual recounts ... all votes, not just the counties in question. This has been all over the news several times. Bush won in all cases. The NY Times (very liberal) was one of the papers.

I sure hope he didn't get elected on his own.
I'd sleep better at night knowing that the voting system is flawed rather than knowing that the American people are stupid enough to vote for Bush willingly.

In 2000 Dubya stole the election. In 2004 he won because of his blind followers.
