This means the memory capacity in your Hard disc is getting full or may be your machine is infected by some virus. I had the same problem some time back. My PC has a hard disc of 40GB capacity and I have not stored much in my computer. So I wanted to add one more Hard disc and took it to the dealer but he said the machine is having some virus. So he installed Trend Micro PC-Cillin anti Virus and it is working alright now. I do not get such message about memory and it is also fast now. So have your PC checked for virus and installing an effective anti virus software would solve the problem. Best of luck.-

Virtual memory is designed to complement the computer's physical memory. It creates a paging file on your hard drive.

You can set virtual memory. Generally, you will want to set the minimum size to 1.5 times your physical memory. You can also specify a maximum size. Set the maximum size to the same size as the minimum. This will help speed things up. If you get warnings, enlarge both minimum and maximum.

To change the size of your paging file, right-click My Computer. Click Properties and select the Advanced tab. Under Performance, click Settings. Open the Advanced tab. Under Virtual memory, click Change.

Now, select the C: drive. Click Custom size and enter the minimum and maximum sizes. Click Set and OK. Click OK on the other open dialog boxes.

Hopefully, you won't see any more error messages. If you do, you can nudge up the size of your virtual memory
.

You may have your Virtual Memory set wrong....

Check your virtual memory's paging file. Keep in mind when re-setting this, is that your Virtual Memory-Paging file should be NO larger then 1.5 times the amount of Memory you have installed.

You have 512mb of memory, so your Virtual Memory should be 768mb

You have 1gig of memory, so your virtual memory should be about 1500 (mine is 1535 exact).

To check your virtual memory paging file size. Go to My Computer , right click on it with your mouse,
chose Properties. Go to the Advanced (tab). On the Advanced (tab) click the Performance Settings button.

Under the Performance / Settings Button, Chose the Advanced (tab) . On this Advanced (tab) you should see your
Virtual Memory Paging file size.

If it is not set at 1.5 times the amount of your Memory. Then I suggest you change it. So click the Change
Button. And put the dot on "System Managed Size" . Click the SET button, then click the OK button, then the
APPLY button if you can , then the OK button. Restart your computer. Go back there to see if the size was
reset. Make sure it reset to an amount no larger then 1.5 x (times) the amount of Memory you have installed.

Good Luck
