try to make a spectacle of women and compare their features/ attributes, as if they were remotely attractive? I am just baffled by a question I just read.

I agree with Terrell. Men don't care how they look, but they want the girl to be cute. I've met so many guys that are like that and I wonder have they looked in the mirror lately. Maybe it's because women are more accepting and less shallow than men. A woman is more likely to look at personality and get to know a man that isn't GQ. They just have to learn how to do the same thing. Some women need to stop blowing up these men heads because they are becoming too arrogant.

so what you are saying that only the GOOD LOOKING men have the right to make comparisons of women??? Isn't that rather shallow? All men are going to make comparisions just as all WOMEN will make comparisons regardless of what the women look like!!!!! Sure would love to see why you OBVIOUSLY feel YOU are an attractive one.... Remember beauty is in the eye of the beholder AND, it really doesn't matter how pretty one THINKS they are when they are young, because when they AGE, beauty (and handsomeness) fades and by the time you are 60, you will look no better then anyone else... People's LOOKS shouldn't matter... I have met a lot of WONDERFUL men who might not be physically all that attractive, but their mannerisms, actions, attitudes and upbringing have made them MUCH more appealing then some of the Most gorgeous men around with absolutely no personality whatsoever.... Looks aren't everything--someday after you've LOST yours, maybe you will realize this.

EDIT: 2 cents if that is your preference , by all means DO YOU. But my question for you is, why would you have to be fat to be attracted to someone thats fat. You just stated beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Now you are trying to allocate who can be attracted to whom. And who is to say just because you date someone fat or that somehow, magically, your standards are being lowered. Lowered standards would be something like dating a crack-head.

I personally don't appreciate when dudes that don't even remotely look human try to define what is beautiful and what is not. That was what my original question was about and I felt that it was a double standard. To me it seems like men can look like hot garbage but women must be flawless.

Well if some shallow minded guy does not have the intelligence to dive into the depth of personaily and values then he deserves a brain dead bombshell. Physical attraction only last a few moments if a woman does not have substance in my opinion.

WOW GREAT MINDS DO THINK ALIKE! You may not believe this, but yesterday, two men tried to hit on me. One was an older white guy (60's?) and the other was a fat black guy in his late 20's. GEEZ I DO NOT CONSIDER THEM ATTRACTIVE AT ALL. I found myself thinking: Why are people more accepting of couples when the man is fat, compared to when the woman is fat? Something to think about. IM NOT ATTRACTED to fat or much older men. It basically boils down to DOUBLE STANDARDS showing favouritism towards men.

No i really think every one has a right to make known what they want or expect from a potential lover. In my case I've stated before that a man with a big or jiggly stomach must stay away from me, including the ones with a "thang" smaller than a standard sausage. I will not associate myself with them. Period.

Beauty is in the the eye of the beholder. It doesn't matter what the beholder looks like.

chitown - Whats wrong with a guy having standards. i don't date fat girls either. That is just not my thing. It would be different if I were fat.

I would date a not so beautiful woman (of course she would have to be charming and have a nice body).

edit: chitown - oh wait .... I wasn't saying there is anything bad about being fat. But Im skinny. I tend to date women that are sort of like me. Slim, brown, world class personality (although I will say I love thick women to, just not too thick)

I was just saying, if I were fat, maybe I would have more of an affinity for fat women. I don't know. Like I said, its just not my thing. I do think fat women can be beautiful.

But to answer your question. each person decides what THEY think is attractive. I say tall, slim, dark and natural. the next guy might say short, thick, and light. It doesn't matter if both of us are ugly. We like what we like.
