The sound P's make when you say a word that has a p in it in a microphone. I know there is a technical term for this, but don't know! Any ideas?

You often get 'pops' from p's. Is that what you mean?

A 'shield' in front of the mic helps muffle that sound.

The Plosives is correct for P's and syllabince is the sound made by "S"
