What about holy water?

2007-08-12 17:58:45 · answer #1 · answered by Experto Credo 7 · 0 1

According to some legends a vampire cannot cross running water. Also in some legends if you scatter seseme or other types of seeds or grains they have to stop and pick up every one. Silver is also claimed by some to be useful against them, although it was a more common proof against werewolves. It is also believed that a vampire cannot enter your home unless you invite them in and once you do all things that usually repell them lose their power.

Wolfbane, or wolfsbane, is a poisonous perennial herb with broad rounded leaves. Its has yellowish flowers and grows eastern Europe and Asia. In legend a talisman made of Wolfsbane can word off Vampires, and other evil spirits.

The vampire was incapable of approaching me because my wolfsbane talisman repelled him.

Garlic doesn't work, and neither does a cross unless you truly believe in it, or they were religious before they turned. Holy water works well, and yes, they can walk around in daytime, it just gives them really bad sunburn (according to American drama Supernatural. Watch it some time!) And the only way to kill them is to stake them out or chop their head off. Good luck Van Helsing!

If your a Pagan, you sit the neo-vamp down and ask why there is fear for mundane objects brought up not by the church or any other authority, but by fiction writers. Of course, anyone would be afraid of a hypodermic full of concentrated Jalapeno Juice.

through fact the vampire fantasy originated in worldwide places that have been, on the time, predominantly Christian. The good judgment: Vampires are evil devil is evil consequently vampires could be in cahoots with devil (fallacious good judgment) devil is the enemy of Jesus Jesus died on a pass (actual it became extra T-formed yet it somewhat is besides the element) Therefor devil extremely extremely would not like crosses (would not stick to in any respect) devil extremely extremely would not like crosses consequently they are able to harm him (sorry, what?) Crosses can harm devil Vampires are in cahoots with devil consequently crosses can harm vampires (epic good judgment fail)

Beheading. And if you really want to be sure about it, fire. Good ole villagers with torches fire.

You need time to get away? Toss some seeds. They love to count them! Oh, and they have trouble crossing running water.

Holy water, and stakes. And Wolfbane.

Wolfsbane, can't cross running water, not big on urine, have to count seeds - esp. rose seeds (OCD like the Count on Sesame St.)
