Im getting my permit and i think i might be getting my license. But what would be a nice car for a 16 year old to drive. A car that looks good for a teen to drive in and looks nice on the outside. But at the same time were on a budget. Cant go higher than 10,000

Maybe possibly 03-06 models....

rite on antwon for 10k you can get an01or02 stang or you can get what we call the new classics (fox body ) in execelent condition for around 8k with all the goodies but bang for the buck under 10k mustang of any yr is an exent choice and if engine dont matter you can get a 04 or 05 6banger with all the options for around 10k and that gets almost 30mpg but the gt getsabout 24or 25 mpg insurance might be a little high though

You can get a used Taurus or Sable for that kind of money. It isn't flashy, but it is good dependable transportation and gets half way fair mileage. In your price range, that may be the best bet. You should be able to get one with fairly low miles, and all the options in your price range. I would say a 05 or even the 06. Good luck.

The cheapest cars to insure are the least appealing to young drivers.

I would suggest looking at "grandpa cars," 4-door Buicks or Mercurys: one-owners that have been well-maintained. Avoid anything with a V8 (insurance is too expensive and they get miserable mileage).

Search eBay and other sources for cars in your price range using the description "cream puff."

you're shooting a little higher than your budget will allow if you want something that new. try something in the 94-99 model year range. also, don't be so superficial and shallow and hung up on looks....whe I was your age i got a 1965 Grand Prix and was glad to get it.......ONLY 10k to spend? damn....must be nice to have money....... be happy with whatever you can get....don't worry so much what it looks like....alot of other kids won't have cars and just be thankful you do
