The first thing they look for is whether or not you've worked in a "gentleman's club" - if you have, your resume most likely ends up in the garbage. (I have a friend who cocktailed at the Spearmint Rhino, which is one of the more upscale clubs, and NONE of the casinos would even talk to her.)
Go to some of the websites for the hotels and see if there's any job openings - www.mgmmirage.com posts theirs for all their properties.

i would not take a job as a stripper. you can look at the hotels websites. Wyn, Venetian, Bally's , all of the hotels have websites and you will probably be hired. There may also be opportunities for office skills and for jobs in luxury sales in Las Vegas. I think you could get a job as a leasing consultant in a community , study real estate , get a license show and sell property. Try to find a job that offers some benefits / health insurance and tuition reimbursement would be great. use the waitressing only as stepping stone / try to work on advancing your career. i think that the only real requirements for cocktail waitresses is that you have a neat / clean appearance. unfortunatly, it will help if you fit the dress but that isn't necessarily a requirement. have a good personality with the public and be service oriented. i do not think you will have a hard time finding work. just do not sell yourself short ! reach high.

Las Vegas is the absolute most interesting and interesting city on the planet and with hotelbye you will discover out more. Nowhere else on the planet you may find an area that's most of the travel amenities that merely a complete resort location will offer: magnificent casino accommodations, great food, wonderful live amusement and state-of-the art tradition and industry show facilities. Las Vegas is surely a spectacular town and precisely what you would assume from the world-class area, and more, is right here for your journey pleasure. One of many places you must visit in Las Vegas could be the Fremont Street, a pedestrian place with all kinds of distinctive sites.

Yes, experience in waitressing would help but honestly when it comes to cocktail waitressing in Vegas they are more interested in looks.
So if you're attractive then your chances are good. If I were you I'd send a great photo (close up and full shot) along with your resume.
And stay away from those s---- clubs. They are nasty and you shouldn't have to demean yourself like that.
P.S. I heard cocktail waitresses in Vegas make sweeeet cash so good luck to you!

do it on line and if you are qualified will get an interview.
This is not a wise a** answer, but if you go to a strip club they will hire you off the street for cocktails.
My friend does it part time.
She does make good money.
But she is from Compton and can deal with the clientel.
