is it REALLY a must have...or is it that people are just too lazy to get out of the car to get a damn cup of coffee?

it is convenient. When you have your kids asleep in the backseat and you don't want to wake the up. I love Starbucks drive thru but there is just one that I know in MD and is not even in my area! (I also love a Post Office Drive Thru and is in the same area as the Starbucks DT is, why? I guess that area is more family oriented)

Yes, it might be that some are lazy, but, It could be that they are in a slight rush. Some people make it part of their schedule to get a Starbucks coffee and go through the drive through, since, they need to get to work. Though, some prefer to walk inside, and, enjoy their beverage at a table. I have also seen people bring their laptops and work their, while, eating a sandwich, a pastery, or, some other kind of food, or, drinking some sort of drink. I have also seen people read novels, books, magazines, and/or catalogs! Thanks,

I have been thinking about this. It is sometimes inconvenient to park the car and walk up the counter for a cup of coffee. Having a drive thru would be perfect. I was thinking to start a business like this soon.

Like someone else said, the drive-through is faster than going inside. I always go through the drive through. Plus, you don't have to deal with the snobby people who are inside the starbucks, and if you bring your dog along in the car, you get a free dog biscuit.

I love my Starbucks drive through especially in the winter when there is ice and snow everywhere! Its a nice convenience.

i hate starbucks. the company.
the only thing ill have from there is a mocha frappuccino, and i wont have that very often, last time i had one was like 2 months ago. yeah, not too long ago but still... i don't like giving them money.

In my area - the service at the drive thru (all types of food places) is always faster. I dont know why - it just is.
