Notices being sent to Trigg County residents from CDC
Wednesday, August 08, 2007
With the daily mail, many Trigg County citizens have found a notice from the Center for Disease Control. The notice, mailed to random residents based on census data informs residents that an interviewer may visit their home to collect data and conduct an interview for preliminary data in the survey.

This could last as little as 30 minutes for a child, to 45 minutes to an hour for adults. “One of the variables in the length of time it takes for a survey is we enter all the medicines and supplements a sampled person uses.”

“If for instance, all members of a family of four are selected, we could interview a teenage child on his or her own, interview one of he parents for a young child and interview the husband wife on their own. We try to make this as user friendly as possible."

I don't know, but I can tell that no one would interview my teenage child without me being present...it all sounds very strange

Do you have a county health department? If so, call them and ask. That's who the CDC coordinates with.

Maybe they're worried that they were exposed to something, but don't want to be held liable or cause a major scare.
