My question is not, how many GLBT are gay by birth. My question is, how much of the human population was born gay. Studies vary greatly.

I would say 15-20%, if they were honest. Traditionally is always been 10% homosexual, and when you add bi and transgendered to it, this would be my guess.

Everyone who identifies as GLBT has to have some genetic tendency toward it, maybe we are just more likely to act on it than the general population who Kinsey said fell somewhere between a scale of 1 and 10.
Andrew, by the way, is full of crap: Transgender people REALLY don't choose to be the way we are. Why would we go through the crap we go through.

Hey- My answer will most likely cause controversey, but, so be it. I cannot answer the percentage, it would be my uneducated guess that 90% of people born with GLBT is the answer. I have a Nephew who I LOVE DEARLY AND UNCONDITIONALLY! He is gay- SO WHAT! I've been married and divorced twice- SO WHAT! Like in Down's syndrome, it, in my opinion has to do with a Chromosone. I have discussed this with my sister, who is the mother of my Nephew. Many people have argued with me, that it is WRONG- BUT, who am I TO JUDGE, right? I am a VERY LOVING PERSON AND JUDGE NOBODY @ ALL! MY NEPHEW MERELY IS GAY, AND HE DID NOT CHOSE TO BE THIS WAY! I have a little poem for those who think they are BETTER THAN OTHERS and in this case, in regards to GLBT:
JUDGE NOT:
I DREAMED DEATH CAME THE OTHER NIGHT-
AND HEAVEN'S GATES SWUNG WIDE-
AND KINDLY THERE AN ANGEL STOOD-
TO USHER ME INSIDE!
AND THERE, TO MY ASTONISHMENT-
STOOD FOLKS I'D KNOWN ON EARTH-
SOME I'D DEEMED OF HAVING LITTLE VALUE-
AND VERY LITTLE WORTH-
INDIGNANT WORDS CAME TO MY LIPS-
BUT NEVER WERE SET FREE!
FOR THOSE WHO STOOD BEFORE MY EYES-
HAD NOT EXPECTED ME!!!

MORAL OF THE STORY- WHO ARE WE TO JUDGE- GIVE ME A THUMBS DOWN, I DON'T CARE- JUDGE ME ALL YOU WANT- WHO ARE YOU TO JUDGE!?!?
Guess I got off track with ur question, but, I am PASSIONATE and UNDERSTANDING about ur question. Take care!!

They say 10%. I do think that certain people are just bron that way. I just accepted that I enjoy having sexual relationship with other females. For the longest I was attracted to them; however, I was in denial. There are some people out there like that. So the % may be even higher.

Dear SC Gamecock,
the best figures the researchers were able to come up with were about 10% of the population have some degree of LGBT tendancys.
But the truth is even that is a best guess. to many of us are scared to death of comming out of the closet.
Based on the trafic in here I'd guess it's a LOT more than that
Hugs,
PennyAnn

No one is born Trans-gender. However, I believe that virtually all gays, lesbians and bisexuals are born that way, in at least as they are born with the tendency to embrace homosexual sex in one form or another.

Including all of the closet gays who got married because they were cowards, and all of the bi men who are sleeping around on their wives? Much higher than 10%
