It would look like a normal ordinary coin. It's function would be to grant all our wishes. It won't have a personality and I would name it Coin 315914.

1. It would look like a giant Magic Talking Grill
2. It would make me barbequed pulled pork sandwiches, baby back spare ribs, Banana Splits, hamburgers, toasted cheese sandwiches, sausage links, and anything else you can think of food wise; it would also tell jokes and play music
3. It would have a very amiable personality, but also be as sharp as a pin to make any situation funny
4. Hmm... Its name would be CACKLE (Comedian And Chef that's Kind Lovable and Enjoyable)

I'm sorry, but if I had to make my own personal human-shaped computer (since I've *seen* the stuff Honda's been doing in Japan with personal robotics and those are *expensive*), I'd likely have to make two.
--The first one would be sort of a walking personal assistant/personal bodyguard. His name would be iFridge or some such, because he'd be white like a refrigerator....when he was recharging, he'd rearrange himself into a cube-like form, Transformers-style, to take up less space. In humanoid form, he'd stand close to seven feet tall and be of a "lean" build. Most of the time he'd just crack jokes, carry on light conversation, keep me informed about the weather, reminded of things, let me know when I have email, maybe instant messages.....
But the minute someone got a bad attitude with me, he'd get one right back, starting with the verbal retorts, and if need be, breaking out in some Rock'em Sock'em Robot style action. He'd be programmed to not use full force unless his built-in metal detector went off in a way that *showed a weapon* was present, and even so, he'd confine his tactics to body shots and restraining techniques.
Oh, and a part of his torso, most likely his back, would double as a small fridge so I could keep a cold beverage or three there. ^_^
--And then....once I got used to iFridge....I'd have to experiment with someone *softer*. As in, building the girlfriend I likely won't be able to find in real life.
Basically, I'd design her for light physical effort--housecleaning and doing dishes while I was away, maybe taking care of plants or a small pet. But her main function would be as a companion....someone to talk with. Someone to be a good buddy, sweet, kind and empathetic, a personal cheerleader sometimes....
Someone who can give backrubs, be a good kisser....and maybe more. ^_^ And of course she would be built somewhat like those RealDolls you hear about, anatomically correct and all that.....only shinier, more plastic looking. Edit: I knew I forgot her name and appearance. She'd basically look like a 20-something woman, I'm thinking blonde-ish hair with a bit of pink in it.....dark blue to violet eyes. Bit of an hourglass, Barbie-ish figure....haven't decided on a name because I'm not sure how she'd turn out, sorry.
But nah....somehow I don't think I could program things quite well enough to make for a perfect girlfriend. -_- Either I'd mess something up and things would get creepy, or I'd get bored if the programs were too simple and conservative. It's harder to make a *woman* out of a doll than it is to make a *doll* out of a woman don't you know? ^_^
(yeah, like I know what I'm talking about here.....perhaps I had best stop now while I'm only slightly behind)
I hope this helps....thanks for your time! ^_^

mine would be an android, so it can look more human for a start. I t would look like a woman, with short green hair, emerald green eyes, body of a lady body builder (not too bumpy looking), would be 6'0 tall, the function would be protector, helper (with kids and housework), she would have the personality of a real friend who is willing to help out, and her name would be Elm (short for emerald).

it would be sort of male, basic silver and humanoid with goth clothing and a faint resemblance to johnny depp. i'd call him mr. d. he would clean the house all day, greet me after work with a gourmet but healthy meal, run a bath, light candles and pour me a glass of wine while i bathe. massage with lavender oil before bed and if i wake in the night, he would hold me and tell me everything is ok. maybe have an australian accent. that covers it.
