I've been lookin, nothing so far,
I'm near the city right now (austin)
but around 11:30 I'll leave for the country.
the stated time for it to starts was 9pm -10pm everywhere.
Its the time the sun sets, or darkness falls and remains the same time zone to time zone,
(one of the reasons we have time zones)
peak is supposed to be 2am - 4am

Unless you suffer from light pollution from the surrounding area then you should be able to see them.
The shower has already started, since the Earth is already on the path of the comet. However it will take several days to pass through the area, so if you dont see them tonight, try again tomorrow. Anyway you should start seeing them as soon as it gets dark. If you are in a city area you may not see much due to light pollution. If you can get out into the country or up a mountain that will be your best view =)

It was supposed to start at 2100 central time (last I heard) ... I saw some precursors last night and the night before so I'm guessing it should be good tonight... though I haven't gone out and looked yet.
