The offense sputtered. Frye looked good here and there, but made two very big mistakes, screwed up on a pass that was ruled as a lateral and taken back for a TD, and mismanaged the clock as well. He also tried to force the action a few times, as did Anderson. Each time we got in the redzone, the offense shut down, just like we do every year, and instead of being up seven, we ended up having to rely on Phil Dawson for some FGs. The QBs, especially Anderson, were plagued big time by dropped passes.

The defense looked solid though, I really think the 3-4 scheme is starting to come together and guys are playing well. They are getting pressure on the QB, and forcing TOs. Wimbley is going to have a Pro Bowl season I think, barring any kind of injury though.

Special teams was solid, not great. Cribbs, was well, Cribbs. Barclay, some undrafted rookie we picked up returned a kickoff for TD late in the game, thats how we won. Zastudil had one bad punt, but the others were good. Besides that, the special teams looked good.

Good as in a winning season? No. I haven't checked out their schedule but it doesn't matter. They are the Browns.

they looked good when they were out of the league!

just remember that the phrase "taking the browns to the superbowl" could also refer to taking a poop!

irvin_cowboy, do these 4 letters mean anything to you: SBXL

I thought so. Looks like Charlie will be the starter. Edwards will no doubt be awesome this year. Looking forward to the season as I do every year.
