I have never seen a meteor shower before and I wanted to know if there was a specific time that it will come?

started at sunset
peaks around 2am to 4am
get out of the city.
I'd go north to lufkin or down 1960 past huffman

Unless you suffer from light pollution from the surrounding area then you should be able to see them.
The shower has already started, since the Earth is already on the path of the comet. However it will take several days to pass through the area, so if you dont see them tonight, try again tomorrow. Anyway you should start seeing them as soon as it gets dark. If you are in a city area you may not see much due to light pollution. If you can get out into the country or up a mountain that will be your best view =)

Well I live a few hours from Houston but I'm talking to one of my friends from Houston right now and he just told me that there was a meteor shower tonight (I didn't know either!) and it'd be easiest to see it around midnight. I've never seen one before either so it should be cool! He said there was like 60-90 shooting stars per hour too. Pretty cool!

It's tonight, but good luck if you live in Houston. All the lights from the city really interfere with the sky.
