I see everyday people complain about how aweful USA is with the nowhere near affordable housing rates, flood of illegal immigration, and heartless corrupt politicians but compared to a few years ago America is a great place to live. Even in todays time it is a hell of alot better than most other countries. Do people complain just because they have the right to?

It has been said, The measurement of a countries worth is how many people want in, as opposed to how many want out.

You do not see folks running at Mexico to get in, do you?

America is much better than many other countries in terms of environment, weather, health, housing, government, ect. People complain because they have nothing better to do and also because they are uninformed. Those who are complaining, probably either have a lot already handed to them or they are too lazy to fend for themselves. Different people have different experiences, some positive some negative, some may be victims and some may be the culprit. If anyone ever complains again just tell them to try and "correct" the issue they are having a problem with. If they are not willing to put in an effort to make things better then they don't have the right to complain.

The mortgage crisis is the result of greedy people giving low cost home-loans with no down-payment to individuals who couldn't qualify for a credit card.
Those getting temporarily very low interest ARMs are now paying a price too.
All of us with a brain coupled with experience could easily see this coming!
Those who survive this financial crisis will be better off than they would have been paying rent, and those loosing their homes would have been paying rent anyway so WHAT'S THE BIG DEAL?
Only the greedy are going to be losers.
I mention this because it is typical of way Americans create their own problems and when those problems are examined, WE ARE DOING QUITE WELL compared to most of the world!
We, as citizens, MUST keep our freedom. We must keep our POWER!
Money is power, Keep taxes LOW so the Government can't take YOUR power and put it under THEIR control.
Guns are power. For the same reasons, NEVER relinquish your right to bear arms!
NEVER vote for a politician who will take either you money or your guns.
They are TYRANTS! They only want to RULE like the Marxist/ Socialist dictators they emulate in their carefully crafted speeches filled with specious arguments.
They have to take away your power before they can succeed.

Pawz, ask yourself this.... Why do all of these undocumented aliens want to illegally come over here, and not just from Mexico either, unless they know they have a chance at a better life here. Why would you move out of the green pasture and over the fence into a desert? That's not how it happens. So for all the lib/terr/comm trash talking everyone gives us just look at the statistics.

People complain for various reasons. You need to sort out those who have legitimate complaints. I don't really hear many except the radicals saying the USA is awful. However, the things you mentioned are just a few problems America currently faces. And political debate is good for the country. Just watch out for the far left wackos and the far right fundies and you will be ok.

This is the worst government on earth..except for all the other ones.

You'd be in jail almost anywhere else with some of the complaints Amurricans have about this country. People will complain about the level of comfort they enjoy because they aren't in real pain (hunger, etc.)

Nope,, more moving in than moving out. Some may have a legitimate right to complain. After all, we're not a perfect nation, but many complain because they just love to,,,,,,well,,, complain.

We complain because most Americans don't really know true hardship. We think that because latest thing that comes out if we don't have enough money to buy it right away then we are in hardship and it cost to much. But what most don't realize is that you can't take it with you when you die plus your family member won't treasure it the way you do and before you know it, it will be in a yard sale for less then 1/4 of what you paid for it.

It's easy to complain in the comfort of your house on a computer.

It's much harder to go out and make a positive social change.

In my opinion, the people who are complaining are the people who didn't vote for this administration and constantly complain about non existing problems. They magnify everything negative and ignore anything positive. Sometimes they just make crap up so they can make everyone think...."Wow our country is falling apart because of Bush". The sad part is, the lemmings fall for it.
