As the other 2 people have stated that cigarette smoke will not set off the smoke alarm. But if you will be staying in Las Vegas almost all of the hotels have smoking or non smoking rooms. There are a few hotels that are completely non smoking though!

They do put smoking alarms in smoking rooms. There has to be a lot of smoke (more than a cigarette) to set off the alarms such as a fire

Ask for a smoking room, they have both non and smoking rooms. Enjoy your stay.

cigs do not trigger smoke alarms.
you may not smoke in the hotel room any more
