Nowadays Pakistan has a lot of attention from the U.S. mainly due to its nuclear weapons, unstable government and its harboring a lot of terrorists or if you want to be polite about it Muslim extremists, who have started suicide bombings within Pakistan. So what do you guys think, since the government of Pakistan is clearly doing nothing and the U.S. keeps sending aid thats going to waste should U.S. conduct direct air strikes in Pakistan

It is an exaggeration to say that "the government of Pakistan is doing nothing". General Musharraf hasn't allowed yet the extremists to come to power or to take possession of the nukes. If he fails and the nukes are taken over by the Islamists, then the US must definitely intervene either by bombing nuclear installations or by occupying the country.

Only as an absolute last resort. All we need is for the current government to fall and turn the nuclear weapons over to an extremist Islamic government.
