I live right outside Mexico City, so pollution won't be a problem, but I want to know if I can expect to see anything.

Your location is not the prime one but you could still see quite a lot this year. The moon will be dark so if your weather is clear and you don't have many city lights, you will see a good show. your best hours will be from 2:00-4:00.

The prime viewing area is from 40 to 55 degrees north latitude (the northern half of the U.S. and the southern half of Canada).
