Most sales of Windows machines do not include full licenses of anything but Windows itself. Microsoft Office, for instance sometimes comes with a 30- 60 or 90-day trial version. At the end of that time, you either buy the real thing or stop using it. Norton (Symantec) and McAfee anti-viruses also generally come with a brief free anti-virus definition period.
Most everything else is extra. Beware also that trial versions statuses are sometimes quietly not mentioned by the salesperson or the promotion literature.

most computers (except dell) come with all programs in them....even the programs you'll probably never use. It is all free, except they sometimes charge to have the store install security software. That will be in total when you purchase the computer. This software will normaly need to be repurchased every year, but your computer automaticaly reminds you like a month a head of time.
**If you do decide to get a dell or any other computer that doesn't have the programs already installed the store will have you tell them what you want. If you don't know what you want they will have you tell them about your life style and they can decide for you.
Good Luck!

That will depend upon who built the computer. The best thing would be to go to Best Buy, Circuit City or Office Depot and pose your questions to the people there before you make your purchase. Make sure you go with a list because you will forget once you are in the store.

The 9800GTX card is a very good card at the time and for some games nowadays can still be able to play them even though it may not be performing as good as it use to. This is based on the resolution, the frame rate and the other system components. Since you have only disclosed specification information, you have not given a proper reason as why there is an issue for this card not to fit into these components? The Intel 82945G express chipset for graphics is rubbish and I am sure the 9800GTX will beat it for sure. Since you are running Windows 7 Ultimate, may I ask why on earth are you using only 2GB of memory (RAM) to run it?? You need at least 6 to 8GB for this version as well as to compensate for what ever applications you intend to run, especially games and other heavy resource demanding applications (multimedia and design) As you have not also disclosed what kind of power supply unit you have, I am only going to take a guess that its going to be somewhere between 350 and 500W in which case if your only choice at present is to run those games above; you can probably get away by buying a second hand GTX260, 285, 295 or GTX460 as one option or a HD4870+, these cards should now be very cheap whilst also aiming for at least 512MB as minimum for VRAM, whereas for the GTX series, at least 898MB+ The links I have provided below is a possible identification of your system. If the motherboard is in fact the P5LP-LE on your HP system, then 4GB is only the maximum amount in which the motherboard can support. This system was designed to run Windows Vista or Windows XP; therefore it was not designed to run Windows 7. If you are adamant in pursuing this course to attempt to try to run those games above with the Windows 7 operating system and with this exact specification. Then you have several options, upgrade the memory (RAM) to 4GB; go get yourself a VelociRaptor or Solid State Drive for gaming performance with a capacity of at least 100 to 120GB because Windows 7 takes up 20GB of space and most of the other games at least 10GB+ and then just use the primary hard drive 320GB as secondary storage. A VelociRaptor or SSD will increase performance substantially and especially the latter will ensure that your games run better and then look for a second hand graphics card as above mentioned, you will need to ensure that your power supply is at least 500 or 550W as the cards mentioned above are performance driven. And as such to ensure that you have at least 2x 4 pin power connectors on the power supply in order to power the card, if you do not have any of these; then you will need to go and buy some power adapters and plug it into your existing power supply. If your power supply is less than 500 or 550W, then you will have to go and buy yourself another power supply unit; otherwise you won't have enough power to support it. The last option is to build a new system.

MAKE SURE YOU BUY A COMPUTER THAT COMES WITH A NORMAL WINDOWS INSTALLATION CD RATHER THEN A HIDDEN RECOVERY PARTITION(A HIDDEN DRIVE TO RESTORE COMPUTER FROM) BECAUSE WHEN YOU BUY COMPUTER FIRST IT WILL BE NICE AND FAST BUT WHEN YOU WANT TO FIX IT YOU CAN NEVER REALLY FIX IT SINCE YOU CAN"T CUSTOMIZE THE INSTALLATION THE WAY YOU LIKE TO KEEP THE COMPUTER WORK FAST!!! MAKE SURE IT COMES WITH NORMAL WINDOWS INSTILLATION CD NOT RECOVERY DRIVE OR HIDDEN PARTITION!!!

Buy a Mac. You can't get a virus and you can get the people at the store to train you when you buy the protection package.
