i was recently at a concert and they permitted you to bring in your own water bottles but when you came in they took off the cap and threw them away. why do they do this? Thanks!

They do this because stupid people (that are usually drunk) think that it is fun to throw water bottles into the crowd. They take the cap off because if someone throws it the water will spill out making the bottle lighter by the time it does hit someone.
