Any nectar-producing flower will attract hummingbirds, especially if it is red, pink, or orange. A potted fuchsia in bloom, set outdoors, will vibrate with hummingbirds. Spring flowers beloved of hummingbirds include honeysuckle, columbine, coral-bells, impatiens, foxglove, and red penstemon.

Holly Hocks and there is a vine that you can buy at Home Depot or Lowes called a Hummingbird Vine. Any flower that has a cup like flower that has nectar will attract them. I grow a vegetable garden and they love the flowers on my Okra plants.

They are attracted to yellows and reds, and prefer tubular flowers that are aromatic and contain lots of nectar. I know for a fact they really like "shrimp" plants, aloe, honey suckle and jasmine to name a few.
