It is a For Profit corporation. It was recently fined a record $9.8MM for sleazy recruiting practices. It is currently under investigation for padding its placement statistics.
It offers a degree that many reputable firms will not take seriously. Companies like Intel have recently told their employees that they will not pay for classes at U of P because they lack rigor.
The acceptance rate at U of P is nearly 100% -- because they care more about profit than in putting out high quality students.
The U of P costs less than reputable private universities -- but more than even the most prestigious public universities.
While they tell you that it is accredited, they have the easy to get regional accreditation and lack the more prestigious national accreditation that real colleges have.
Avoid it like the plague.

It's probably the best university for online only school, but be aware that they are a corporation (they sponsor the new billion dollar stadium for the Arizona Cardinals) and are out to make a buck. However, they do provide decent schooling. My dad, who got his BA there, says their slogan should be "Pay your fee, get your B".

It's a good school. I did not go there but I was faculty for them for a while. You may want to check out Capella Univeristy. Their set up is more user friendly

It's expensive and it's overrated.
the counselors there don't know how to do their job. If you want an online school my advice would be to try DeVry University.
