is central casting in LA a rip off?

i've always thought extra work would be fun. but i was wondering if anyone had any first or second hand experiance with central casting in burbank. i just dont want to drive down there and find out its a scam. anyone?

Central Casting is the largest, most legit extras casting company in the world. They cast extras for the vast majority of television shows, with the exception of Soaps which have in-house extras casting directors.

No, but it is a good reminder that you have to work to get a job. Like all acting jobs there are lots more actors than roles, even in the background.
