Crater Lake. At over 1,600 feet it is the deepest and bluest lake in the nation, and one of the coldest. Crater Lake National Park is a must see if you ever come out to Oregon. It is situated at 8,000 feet, and that is just the rim. It was once a mountain over 13,000 feet before it erupted. Now to clinch the ten points; but not even crater lake is as deep blue as your eyes. Your eyes are blue are they not?

When I was in Venice, Italy, I went to the island of Murano where the famous glass is made, and one of the glass blowers made me a blue bird. I have treasured that Blue bird of Happiness for over 60 years.
