get a new fridge

It sounds like you have a stopped up drain hole and you have to defrost it with a hair dryer and/or some boiling water, but
before you bother - watch for water dripping down from the evaporator while the compressor/fans are running and if so,
you have a sealed system problem and will have to call an appliance repair service to fix it or replace the fridge.

It sounds like you need to thoroughly clean it. Make sure there are no obstructions to any air ducts or water drain lines. Some refrigerators have a condensate pan heater that acts to evaporate the defrost water. There are a million ways that manufacturers design refrigerators. The first thing you should always do in any refrigeration system is make sure that everything is clean.

Had this problem. Was repaired with a new thermostat. Also unplug drain if necessary.
