I think its a mixture of both. It hurts because we are caught up in alot of different emotions, and relief because its final and the healing can begin. In time the pain will get less and the scars will hopefully be just a distant memory and you can have peace of heart...Kat, you are in my prayers.

If it still hurts that means there was something invested in the relationship, but if it wasn't working out and appeared that it never would then it's for the best that it ended. The sense of relief will come when things settle down and you move on and find that it was truly for the best. Been there several times and it's always for the best...nobody should have to live and deal with drama!

It's always going to hurt when a relationship ends...it just depends on how much emotion and time was invested into it as to how much it is going to hurt and i think that there will be a sense of relief later on down the road when some of the pain subsides....that is usually when you realize all the other things that you overlooked or didn't know about the person...Good luck

Relief. I mean theres no doubt about you feeling bad sometimes when you think about it too much, but in reality if u truly thought about it and believe that it is for you best, then you should feel relief.

Ah me, the loss, no matter how much it's right that it happens, still leaves a hole and it takes time to heal.
