I am against abortions, but I will not talk bad to you..

yes you are very young and if you have decided to get an abortion, then that is your choice, I would suggest having someone there no matter what, it may be more emotional then you realse and it's best if you have someone there with you..please tell your parents, they may be upset with you at first but they will help you when you need it.

A good friend of mine had an abortion at a young age (her boyfriend asked her to he said they were to young) and it was so hard on her, she went about it all alone and it was very difficult.
she told her parents about it , almost a year later, they were more upset about the fact that they were not there to help her through the abortion then about the fact that se had one or got pregnant.

so either way talk to your doctor talk to your parents and don't go alone.

Best of luck whatever happens

I am totally against abortions, but I'm not going to judge you.

I'm not sure how much they cost, I think it depends on your state, but I do know a girl that had to pay around 600 for one. and she was 16 she had to have a parent with her. So Yeah i believe you have to have an adult or grading with you.

If I were you I would tell your mom, maybe she can help you choose what you need to do. Killing a baby isn't fair to the baby. but your very young and being a mom at 14 would be extra hard.. But there are some whom take responsibility and do it. Maybe you should consider adoption. and who knows it might be the best for you. and would make one couple whom cant have kids really happy!

If you are 14, I'm pretty sure you need a parents permission, but i'm not sure if they have to be withyou. It's a pretty simple procudure, and it's safe. I don't like when people saying if you can't financially afford a baby or don't want one to not have sex...because that is not the only purpose of sex. True I think you were a little young to have sex but i'm not judgeing, it's your life. Like other people said, learn from this. after the abortion, be very very good with contraception. Abortion is not a good form of birth control and there are people who use it constantly and thats just stupid. How far along are you? i suggest you get it done as soon as possible because if it's too far they either wont do it or it will be hard for you, especially if you have carried this baby for so long. You are too young to be raising a baby, and you will miss out on so much of your youth if you do. This is a big deal and i think you will learn from it. Are you in the states or canada? in canada, its covdered, in the US, it can range from 300-500 from what i know.good luck

I would get in within the next week so you can take a pill... it's the easier and best way to get one done... if you wait much longer then you will have to the baby surgically removed. Because of your age you will have to have a parent sign permission for you to get an abortion or they will not be able to perform one. Tell your parents right away that you are pregnant, used protection and it didn't work, that way while you're at planned parenthood you can get on birth control too with your parent's permission. I also would let the father know if you haven't already because even though he's also young he needs to know that he is fertile so that every other female he has sex with in his life can take extra precautions to prevent another pregnancy too. Good luck.

Ok, just to warn you, ppl in the pregnancy section really hate abortion questions. Even those who are pro-choice. Because a lot of them are currently in a wanted pregnancy and get bad mental images from talking about abortion. You're probably going to get rude answers.

You may not have to take an adult with you, it probably depends on each clinic's policy, but you do have to at least prove that you've notified your parents. Sometimes they require parental approval too. It can't just be any old adult, it has to be a parent or guardian.

The site I gave you in your last question can give you some idea of what happens during the actual abortion. But here it is again- http://www.pregnancycenters.org/abortion.html

Added- Please don't follow Michael's advice and try to fake your parents' consent, you're 14 for crying out loud, the last thing you need is to get in trouble with the law.

I understand you're 14 and you're young! Just think about this before you do it! I had a miscarriage July 2nd! And it killed me! I would do anything to have my baby! I am now trying again! Think about adoption! My cousin just went through 5 years trying to adopt and about 2 months ago finally got to adopt a newborn baby! So many people can't have babies and wait many many years! Just look through all your options! Abortion is scary and just shouldn't be an easy out! Think about it before you do it! Hopefully go with adoption! So many great couples who can't have babies are just waiting for someone to choose adoption over abortion so they can have a family!

i had an abortion when i was 17 and i dont regret it because i would not be so successful right now if i had a child. i wont admit that i occasionally think how weird it would be to have a 4 year old right now. also, the doctor told me i was about to miscarry that i had already lost my mucous plugs, almost 20% of pregnancies end in miscarriage. as for the abortion itself, my dad went in and signed a slip saying i had his permission about a week before the abortion. i had my bf take me. at the appt. i talked to a counselor, they did an ultrasound, which i didnt look at. and then they gave me a pain killer and a valium to relax. then they put an iv in my arm with really strong drugs that made me go to sleep. i woke up with no pain and it was hard to believe it was done so quickly. dont let anyone tell you what decision to make, follow your heart and if you know you cant be a parent then your child will be the one who pays for it in the long run, growing up on welfare is not fun!! get the abortion then LEARN FROM IT!!! most importnant thing is to get birth control while you are there (free at P.P.) and use it!! everyone f**ks up, just learn from your mistakes you'll be okay!

The abortion itself takes only a few minutes. However, you may have to bring an adult with you who claims to be your parent or guardian and who signs as such depending on the state. Check before you go to the clinic. Technically, the person is supposed to be the parent or guardian but most places do not have the time or resources to verify the claim. Do not bring the father unless he is old enough to pass as your father. The people at the clinic are not stupid. Also, do not stop to talk with any of the people at the clinic who are there to talk you out of the abortion. Just push past them.

I think it depends on what state you are in if you need parental consent. Go to the planned parenthood and ask them what their policy is. You can go in by yourself and get information about it. They might require that someone is there to drive you - but you shouldn't have to have someone in the room with you. Not sure how long it takes - the procedure itself is probably not more than 10 minutes.

up to 500 which is more money than 14 year old i know has. so i guess you should probably talk to your parents about this. plus i have heard that is can be painful and you may have to get an iv. i knew a girl that got the iv and had her whole arm black and blue. how are you going to explain the pain and bruise to your parents? talk this over with them they will help you out either way. good luck.
