I just found out i was gonna have a new baby sibling!!!! i want him/her to have a meaningful name and i was thinking if it was a girl to name her Bella Anne which means beautiful and gracious or to name her Bella Rose. if it's a boy i can only think of Michael or Alexander.

Bella Anne and Bella Rose are both beautiful. Behindthename.com is a great site to look up baby name meanings, and it might give you even more ideas. I also like names that end in Bella and Belle and even Elle and Ella (Isabella, Mirabelle, Maybelle, Gabrielle, etc).

Michael and Alexander are great, but Michael is really popular right now, so you might want to toss it (so he's not one of a million Michaels in his class). I think that it's definitely harder to find great guy names than great girl names. Some of my favorite guy names are William (Liam), Drake, Owen, Clark, and Finn.

If you go to babynames.com, you can create a free account and read though the list of names and click on a button beside the ones you like. The site will put each of them next to your last name and give you a big list that you can print out.

If you want to see the top 1000 most common names for boys born in the USA from 2000-2006, go to http://www.ssa.gov/OACT/babynames/decades/names2000s.html . If you want to see a chart that shows how a name has changed in popularity over time, go to http://www.babynamewizard.com/namevoyager/lnv0105.html . Those sites can help you get an idea of what other people have been naming children. You might see that some names are really common right now (Jacob and Emily), and you might be reminded of some names that aren't too common for today's babies (Vance and Lucille).

For a little spin on "Bella"...how about:

Arabella (Ari or Bella for short)
Isabella (Iz, Izzy, Bella for short)
Anabella (like ON-a...obvious things for short)

I will add that having a middle name start with the same vowel the first name ends with gives no definite break in the name...they run-on to each other. So if you are going to stick with Bella, I would aim for a different middle name such as Marie, Camille, or Nicole.

Michael and Alexander are both lovely names, here are some more names that I like:

Ryan
Austin
Jack
Dominic
Logan
Hayden

Enjoy being a sibling!

I really like the name Bella. Bella Rose is better in my mind, because "Bella Anne" makes me think of that song "Barbara Ann." Michael and Alexander are good names too.
