Trekkie = a fan of StarTrek TV series
I had a friend at work that is crazy about that show. He attended.

I am a fan of the TV series and the movies. I have designed and produced many prize winning costumes for science fiction and costume conventions, but I retired from the convention circuit about 15 years ago.

Yes! I am a Star Trek fan! They have a couple of permanent Star Trek rides in Las Vegas, too.
I've never been to a convention.

liked the series very much ( still do ) but never attended any conventions as I was either working or to poor.
