Anywhere between 4-12 months old. My daughter was 4 1/2 months, my son 10 1/2 months. Typically it is around 6 months old. At your childs age, more than likely it isn't teething, but not impossible. But, it could be colic. That usually tapers by 3 months old, so his crankiness shouldn't be for much longer. :)

1. Babies can be breastfed up to 12 months of age. After that it is vastly frowned upon by the general public. 2. The baby starts solid food like rice cereal around 4 months 3. you shouldn't wake a newborn if you don't have to. I let my kids sleep unless we have to get up then they get up when I do. 4. When they are newborns they pretty much sleep when they want to. When they get to about 4 months old they should be taking 2-3 naps that are about 1-2 hours in length. By the time they are a year old, they might only need one nap in the afternoon that generally lasts 1-2 hours. Every child is different and some babies do need more sleep than others. 5. Newborns don't really have a bed time, but you can start a routine that you want to stick to and 8:30 PM is a good bedtime. I would say anywhere from 8-9 PM is good. Remember, babies don't develop a routine until they are a few months old. They do so much growing in the first few months that just when they fall into a routine, they begin to outgrow it. You will know when baby needs to eat more, sleep less, sleep more, etc. It's just part of maternal instinct! Good luck with everything! You will get the hang of it!!!! =)

My friend's ds had 4 teeth by 4 months old.
1 of my kids started at 6 months, 1 at 7 months, and the last at 9 months. It really varies. The teeth can come up and go down again, for quite a while.

My Mother in Law is a Pediatrican. Believe it or not, some babies are born with teeth (they are far and few between). Typically babies can begin cutting teeth anywhere from 2-4 months and most getting their first tooth around 7-8 months.

It depends they can have symptoms of it long before they cut the tooth. My son began drooling and getting chin rashes at four months then didn't cut a single tooth til he was eight months old it varies. The earliest I have heard of a teething baby, in my book what to expect the first year, and woman had given birth to an infant with a tiny tooth apparently it had formed in the womb and the infant had to have it taken out in case it were to become loose so she wouldn't swallow it. Could you imagine, ick.

Infants can't start teething as early as 3 months old. Usually they get their first teeth at 6 months.

The order in which baby teeth appear can vary and no two children will necessarily be alike in their teething schedule.
